Ingredients:Hard flour, whole wheat flour, toasted cornmeal, dried roasted corn, water, sourdough starter (wheat flour, water, natural sourdough cultures), corn cheong (sugar, corn), charred corn, salt.
Cheong translates to ‘preserved with sugar’. It is a traditional Korean technique used to produce a concentrated syrup from fruit and sugar, allowing it to ferment and create a lovely sweetened syrup, full of flavour, and an excellent alternative to honey or other artificial sweeteners.
This loaf features Fresh rhubarb from local Thiessen Farms, located in Jordan Station. The toasted almond flour wonderfully compliments the tart rhubarb and full-bodied fruit Cheong
